Vision without Execution . . .

Edison gets to the heart of many missed opportunities. Numerous initiatives fall terribly short of their goal (if goals were even documented) due to lack of execution. A vision without a plan and the passion to act is nothing.
Throughout my career, I have had the courage to pursue a B-grade plan over an A-grade plan due its probablity of being executed well. If a plan cannot be executed, it matters not how grand it is. No resuilts will come of it.
The next time you have a choice to make, assess your organization's capacity and willingness to absorb the change being proposed.
